Dora close-ups

Close ups of the mural. The colours are a little washed out because I only had my phone to take photo's with. I'll be getting my camera back in a few days though, and hope to take better pictures then.

Dora the Explorer Mural

Dora the Explorer finished mural (i wasnt allowed to take the masking tape off from around the edges yet, so it looks a little bit unfinished at the moment). The people I did the mural for were very easy going, and left me to my own thing, so I tightened up the composition from the concept piece I did in Photoshop, and I also played around with the colours because when I was mixing the acrylics I found some really pretty colours that suited the piece a lot more, especially the blue fairy which is now a plum/purple colour (though it doesnt show up that well in the photo)

Invitation Commission

I was commissioned to do a poster & invitation for a ladies charity lunch in wexford. I edited out the date and phone numbers for the blog. Dont want to be blamed for any gatecrashers or prank phone calls!!!

Dora the Explorer Wall Mural (concept)

Have been commissioned to do a mural of Dora the Exploerer with fairies for a little girl's bedroom wall. This is my finished concept piece. Will be starting on the wall tomorrow morning.

Did figure studies for the first time in years today. Needless to say i'll be doing a lot more, a lot more often. Good time to get back into it though, cuz there is lots going on in the city over the weekend

Declan Shalveys comic workshop

So I went to Pegbar in Dublin yesterday. Its really the first time Ive had a great kick of animation since finishing college in May. It was brilliant day. Went to declan shalveys comic workshop which was really fun, and then some of the talks. Gotta say that Tomm Moore's talk on The Secret of Kells was the highlight of the Film Base part of the day. Then I went to the night time event and caught up with loads of people I havent seen in ages, and saw lots of showreels and films that were really inspirational. The buzz was great and I am feeling really enthuasiastic and inspired! A great day out.

Update

Been a while since Ive been on blog. Ive been drawing away, but my scanner is bust so it'll be another few weeks until I can post some new work. Bear with me!
